Property Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team for hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities :- Arrange and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties.
- Conduct financial analysis to support property management decisions
- Prepare and file property tax returns.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment of property expenses.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for property accounts.
- Manage lease accounting, including rent roll and lease abstracts.
- Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts.
- Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate accounting.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software (MRI, Yardi or similar).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations related to property accounting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
