Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $3030 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - MidAmerica Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - PCU/ICU experience accepted in lieu of cardiac telemetry experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements. - Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.

Unit Details: - Support staff includes charge nurse, unit secretary, and PCTs. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill-Rom beds, Dinamap in each room, Welch Allyn vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, EKG machine, bladder scanner, Doppler, and iMobile for communication between team members. - Procedures performed on unit: IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, Foley insertions.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week preferred. - Must work full-time hours, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.

Floating Requirements: - Contract nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
