About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, strengthening financial reporting, guiding forecasting, and translating financial data into practical business recommendations. This hands-on executive will work closely with the leadership team to support long-term planning, performance analysis, and high-impact operational decisions. Key responsibilities include directing the financial reporting framework, building forecasting tools, supporting corporate finance initiatives, and overseeing month-end close activities. The CFO will also lead accounting operations, manage core accounting functions, and establish and refine financial procedures to drive continuous improvements in reporting accuracy and efficiency. Candidates for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, and a strong background in monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close. A background in the agriculture or manufacturing industry is required. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability in financial modeling, variance analysis, and forward-looking business forecasting, as well as experience in overseeing broad accounting functions, including intercompany activity and consolidated financial reporting. The role also requires the ability to travel within the Midwest up to 10% as business needs require.
