In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual grinding machines. You will work with downloaded programs and adjust them to ensure accurate, high-quality parts. Our team focuses on building world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base.**Do you enjoy this work?*** Set up and operate CNC and manual grinders, including Chevalier, Kent, Jones & Shipman and Blohm machines, to perform surface and cylindrical grinding.* Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate part production.* Inspect and measure parts using precision instruments (micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications.* Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to maintain equipment functionality.* Optimize grinding operations for efficiency, tool life, and part quality.* Work with tight tolerances, often within ±0.0005”.* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other production staff to resolve issues and improve processes.* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.* Document work as required, including job travelers, inspection reports, and production logs.* Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices or junior machinists, as needed.**What's in it for you?**There's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
