Patent Agent - Chemistry (SEA / Other)

Job Overview Kilpatrick is seeking an experienced USPTO registered Patent Agent with a focus on Chemistry. Candidates should have at least 3+ years’ of relevant experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm setting. The applicant should have a technical degree or advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field and/or commensurate experience. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical and/or other Small Molecule prosecution experience is required. Scope of the position involves patent prosecution, client counseling, opinion preparation, and patent‑office litigation (IPR/PGR proceedings). Proficiency in technical writing is a plus. Transcripts and writing samples will be requested. The Patent Agent must have an active USPTO Reg #. This position is for our Seattle, WA office; the team may also consider candidates to be based in other KTS offices such as Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Washington, DC; or Winston‑Salem, NC. Active USPTO registered Patent Agent number. Proficiency in technical writing. Location & Compensation Seattle, WA (telework from other KTS offices may be considered). Expected salary range: $160,000 - $220,000.
