Patent Agent - Chemistry

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with at least 2 years of experience to join their patent prosecution practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or related fields and will support patent application processes both domestically and internationally. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and international patent offices. Support due diligence activities related to patent matters. Manage multiple assignments from various partners and clients. Requirements Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Licensed to practice law in the respective state, if applicable. Strong time management and deadline management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Education: Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field. Certifications Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent writing skills.
