Program Specialist

Program Specialist University of Vermont - Burlington, VT Provide administrative, program and project support to Gund Institute initiatives. Fifty percent is to manage Gund competitions (e.g. PhD, Postdoc, Catalyst Award), provide development support and coordination, and track and analyze institutional metrics. Manage administration of an internationally funded climate change initiative (CCAFS Low Emission Development), including budget management, assistance with fundraising and proposal development, organization of workshops, support of impact assessment, and preparation of reports for bilateral donors, including federal agencies. May supervise support staff. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field, including natural resource management, food systems, agriculture, climate change, business/economics, international development or sustainability science knowledge with three years of related work experience required. Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing and database applications. Effective written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and highly organized. Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced office environment. Desirable Qualifications Database experience, workshop organizing experience, and experience with grant proposal development desired. Budget management and previous experience supervising student employees desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. #J-18808-Ljbffr
