Elementary Teacher West Valley

Job Description General Education Teacher position available in various grade levels across our West Valley campuses. Responsibilities Provide direct instruction using accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math. Implement instructional activities that foster an engaging learning climate. Select, adapt, and modify instructional resources to meet diverse student needs, backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Utilize direct instruction techniques to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth necessary for primary school success. Assist in assessing and evaluating changing curricular needs and propose improvement plans. Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures. Communicate effectively orally and in writing with students, parents, and professionals on a regular basis. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Model professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, peers, and community. Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement for age group, subject area, and program classification. Participate in training and staff meetings. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings. Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate achievements. Encourage students to uphold values and model mature behavior and good character. Perform light‑lifting, standing, sitting, moving, and occasional travel to other campuses. Participate in events outside of normal hours and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain. Candidate must pass a criminal history background check. Preferred Qualifications Current teaching certificate from the state. Physical & Travel Requirements Travel between campuses from time to time. Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. May involve sitting for long periods, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and long periods of concentration. Local and in‑state travel required.
