Senior Strategist

Fusion Hill is looking for an experienced Senior Strategist who can get to the heart of a business challenge, uncover the insight that matters and turn it into a clear, compelling path forward. You’ll lead strategic thinking across brand positioning, messaging, communications and content strategy, working directly with clients and collaborating closely with our research and creative teams. Our work spans complex industries including healthcare, financial services and technology, so we’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable digging into complexity, shaping a point of view and confidently guiding clients toward action. This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis, offering flexibility to work remotely while also requiring in-office presence to support collaboration, creative thinking, and team connection. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Delivering high-quality strategy deliverables with minimal oversight (core deliverables include brand/product positioning, messaging hierarchies, communications plans and content strategy) Providing clients with actionable implications and recommendations Helping clients set objectives and navigate key milestones Leading client workshops, stakeholder interviews and strategic discussions with credibility and authority Pitching and editing pieces of thought leadership Serving as the client communications point person and project manager for strategy projects, and problem-solving to keep projects on track Writing new business proposals for multi-phase projects Mentoring and/or managing associate strategists Building partnerships across the agency Living and delivering on Fusion Hill core values QUALIFICATIONS 6-8+ years of agency experience serving as a strategic lead on client projects and/or accounts Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field Experience in B2B marketing and complex businesses (e.g., healthcare, financial services) Clear and concise communicator, whether writing or presenting Proven ability to provide thoughtful guidance and constructive feedback to creative teams Keen attention to detail in all aspects of work Advanced proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position is predominancy sedentary but may require the ability to move about the office or other facilities This position constantly operates a computer and requires the ability to observe details at proximity This position requires the ability to effectively communicate information to others This position requires the ability and willingness to travel as needed This position requires the ability and occasionally carry and/or lift items up to 25 pounds SALARY Starting salary is $85,000+, commensurate with experience and qualifications BENEFITS Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401K match and profit sharing Bonus Paid time off including vacation, wellness (sick) time, company paid holidays, birthday, winter break Flexible Hybrid work model and home office reimbursement Paid Volunteer Time As an equal-opportunity employer, Fusion Hill is committed to achieving diversity, equity, and an inclusive environment.
