About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, de-escalation certification required Must-Have: - Experience in large, urban, fast-paced Emergency Department with significant volume - Experience caring for ventilated patients - Proficiency in the EPIC charting system - Level I trauma experience preferred - Required to float to sister location - Every other weekend coverage with four weekend shifts per contract Description: Orientation is held twice a month. A minimum of two years of Emergency Room experience is required. Experience in a large, urban, and high-volume Emergency Department is essential. Experience caring for ventilated patients is required. Proficiency in EPIC is necessary. Level I trauma experience is preferred. Registered nurses will support Patient Care Technicians and Medic. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. The unit sees approximately 210 visits per day. Candidates with a history of multiple DUIs or recent DUI incidents will not be considered. Blocked scheduling will not be accommodated. Work history including previous employment in this organization will require HR approval.
