Schedule: Days - 2 - hr shift and 2 - 12 hr shifts or 3 - 12s (36-40 hours per week) with a call component.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews ACLS every two years.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and renews PALS every two years.
• Previous PACU and Critical Care experience preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform initial assessment of the patient's condition, differentiating the severity of patient problems and prioritizing care.
• Develop and coordinate a plan of care based on an ongoing assessment, initiating appropriate nursing interventions as needed.
• Continuously evaluate patient's progress toward discharge guidelines, revising the plan of care as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure emergency care supplies and equipment are readily available and in working order.
• Maintain ongoing knowledge and competency in Post-Anesthesia nursing.
