Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC) is seeking one (1) full-time NH-346-04, Product Support Manager 010030201M within the NC3 Integration Directorate. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC) has the following Product Support Manager (PSM) job vacancy, NH-0346-04, in the following Division and Location:

The NH-346-04 position with Boston Locality has a typical 2026 salary range of $142,452 - $197,200 and a Value of Position score of 96*. This person will report directly to the NC3 Integration Director/Integrating Program Acquisition Executive.

*If the NH-04 applicant's current VoP/salary is higher, it will not be lowered due to accepting the position.

As a Product Support Manager, you will be at the heart of our mission to "develop, produce, integrate and sustain secure networks and nuclear-hardened terminals that enable worldwide, survivable NC3 communications." You will be instrumental in realizing our vision "To provide the nation with modern, secure, and reliable nuclear communications from the President and Secretary of War to the nation's Combatant Commanders and nuclear forces." You will achieve this by creatively navigating and leveraging DoW logistics and supply chain regulations and policies to deliver critical capabilities for the nation's nuclear enterprise. Product Support Managers are responsible for providing innovative solutions and strategic recommendations for supply chain management, lifecycle support, and material readiness to support user needs and ensure the long-term sustainment of our systems, with a focus on developing, producing, fielding, and sustaining secure and survivable capabilities in support of Nuclear Deterrence Operations.

DUTIES:

• The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Product Support Manager (PSM) within the AF Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering product support strategies for the NC3 programs within their division. They will integrate and lead organic/contract support capabilities, personnel and teams within the Division and across separate functional areas. The incumbent will document and update as required the Product Support Strategies via the LCSP and ensure implementation of product support activities required to sustain fielded systems. They must leverage enterprise opportunities across programs and interface with diverse stakeholders from Air Force Global Strike Command, US Strategic Command, Space Force, Program Offices across the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Air Force & Army Depots, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and others to ensure successful product support.

• The PSM leads acquisition and sustainment logistics support to multi-functional teams. The candidate is expected to perform independently and lead teams in responding to frequent taskings with short deadlines to ensure program management and logistics issues are resolved in a timely manner.

• The candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle cost, schedule, performance, and logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into program activities required to sustain the system. Directs and determines support requirements; i.e., workloads, schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills, and training. Establishes milestones and monitors execution throughout the project to ensure schedules are met, deficiencies are identified, and required adjustments completed.

• Develops Product Support plans and milestones as directed by policy and guidance to provide the best product for the user, ensuring the most effective and economical means of support are considered and planned during all stages of a weapon system's life cycle. Leads, guides and assesses the logistics impact to acquisition programs, identifies overall tasks to be performed and takes actions to meet requirements.

• Serves as the logistics technical advisor on contracts. Develops comprehensive logistics evaluation criteria to measure contractor progress in meeting program objectives. Participates in contract administration ensuring compliance with contractual processes, procedures, and schedules.

• This is a supervisory position.

• Candidates should have a strong background in weapon system acquisition and sustainment logistics with comprehensive knowledge of the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements. Can understand complex technical concepts and technical information of communications systems across the Air Force. Can communicate well and manage professional relationships with a multitude of stakeholders.

• This is NOT a remote or full-time teleworking position. Due to stated position responsibilities and the need to work in a classified environment on the appropriate computer system, many of these duties require an in-office presence. Situational telework may be available as mission requirements dictate.

**CRITICAL DETAILS SPECFIC TO THE WS PSM POSITION**

• Along with traditional roles and responsibilities of a PSM, this PSM is the designated formal PSM for the AN-USQ-225 Weapon System, (System-of-Systems). Because the AN-USQ-225 is a complex System-of-Systems, its operational baseline is composed of multiple independent program elements, sub-systems, and components.

• The PSM is the Product Support integrator across the NC3 Directorate, orchestrating, aligning, and synchronizing the efforts of program-level PSMs across separate program offices to deliver an integrated sustainment capability where possible.

• This role requires monitoring and reporting on the health of the AN-USQ-225 NC3 Weapon System using the Product Support Elements. The PSM works with other NC3 Directorate PSMs to identify and address issues spanning multiple programs with integrated solutions and to seek opportunities to integrate product support.

• The PSM also oversees NC3 commodity radio product support management where no program office exists, Supply Chain Risk Management, Supply Chain support, Configuration Management, and other efforts related to integrated product support of the AN/USQ-225 operational baseline.

• The PSM is the AF NC3 Directorate's point of contact for AFGSC's Weapon System team, AFGSC/A4 Director's Update Brief, and the NC3 Product Improvement Working Group.

SKILLS:

• Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

• Knowledge of safety, security, and the ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.

• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

• Strong Logistics Management background, as applied to DoW acquisition programs, is desired.

• Strong NC3 domain experience is desired.

• Technical management and IPT Leadership experience desired.

• Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• U.S. CITIZENSHIP

• Must have current TOP SECRET SCI security clearance. If denied an upgrade previously, or were downgraded from TS for other than administrative reasons, then you are considered ineligible.

• This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). Applicant must possess an Advanced certification in Life Cycle Logistics.

• Applicant must have Product Support Manager experience

• Applicant must possess at least 8 years of experience as a Life Cycle Logistician

• Applicant must have grade-appropriate PME

• Applicant must be an existing NH-04/GS-14 as a minimum

• Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft based.

• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

• May be required to file an annual Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450 - Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
