Maintenance Technician

Role Description This full‑time, on‑site Maintenance Technician role is based at a KETTLER community in Cary, NC. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, apartment homes, and common areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs. Daily tasks include completing resident service requests, conducting inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and preparing units for move‑in through turnovers and repairs. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness of mechanical and storage areas, and collaborating with the property management team to support resident satisfaction and community upkeep. The Maintenance Technician may participate in an on‑call rotation to respond to after‑hours maintenance needs. Qualifications Strong skills in Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance for residential or commercial building systems. Ability to perform Equipment Maintenance and apply Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues in a multifamily environment. Knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC) are a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, technical training, or related maintenance experience preferred. Ability to use maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment safely, follow OSHA and property safety standards, and lift moderate loads. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with a diverse team.
