Camp Victory is located in Mannford, Oklahoma and is a place where campers have the opportunity to pull out of their everyday lives, put away any distractions, and experience God’s presence unencumbered. The Camp Victory Summer Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting in providing meals for campers and staff during the Camp Victory summer program. The Kitchen Assistant duties include assisting in preparing meals, ordering food; and cleaning/organizing kitchen and appliances. The Assistant will also be responsible for general cleaning and maintaining meal records. Camp Victory Summer Staff strive to ensure each member, guest and visitor receive the highest caliber of service.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** The Camp Victory Kitchen Assistant is responsible for assisting in managing all aspects of food service for Camp Victory.* Assists to coordinate and assign duties for other kitchen volunteers and assistants.* Assist in planning meals Sunday to Saturday for up to 300 people per meal in advance.* Ensure cleanliness of food preparation and delivery areas meet the Health and Safety code standards.* Follow state health department regulations pertaining to safe food practice.* Keep kitchen clean and in accordance with department of health regulations at all times.* Assists the Camp Cook to check in all food/supply orders and update inventory lists and management.* Assists to prepare all meals on time as scheduled or assigned by the director.* Relevant knowledge of food allergies and food related diseases, and the ingredients that may cause the allergy/disease.* Knowledge of processes and plans to meet special food requirements for both campers and staff; e.g. gluten free and vegetarian diets;* Assists in keeping track of food inventory and manage food items for staff on weekends.* Assists in completing monthly food inventory by the end of each month.* Assists the Camp Cook to weekly deep cleaning of specific areas in the kitchen, e.g. floors, vent hoods, etc.## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS*** Experience in relevant field preferred.* Experience cooking and serving for large groups.* Experience and ability to work within a team environment.* Ability to modify meals for special dietary needs as directed.* Knowledge of generally accepted well balanced nutrition guidelines.* Current Food Handlers Certifications.* Concise communication skills, organizational skills and attention to details.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *Physical Requirements*** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
