PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ACCIS is a large ecosystem that supports NYC subsidized childcare for low-income & cash assistance recipients. The ACCIS database contains in excess of 880,000, children 450,000 cases, 20,000 program providers. ACCIS ecosystem comprises of PowerBuilder, Informix , .Net, Angular most recent versions as required by OTI Cyber policy.

 

Tasks & Duties

• Develop system design specifications 
• Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
• Develops structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
• Develops, compiles, maintains and documents configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems. Managing, prioritizing, and resolving IT project requests in a timely manner and escalating issues appropriately.
• Develop system documentation 
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
• Develops detailed systems operations designs
• Perform System Design Development Logic Algorithms
• Developing clean, efficient, and documented logic algorithms, implementing user Interfaces, building APIs in the system
• Assisting with deployment and maintenance – interacting with various teams for deployments and maintenance
• Tracking performance and managing changing in the system
• Work with staff (e.g, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan programmatic logic implementations via application programming interfaces (APIs) to implement business logic enhancements and changes.
• Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
• Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
• Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
• Provide general programming assistance to other programmers/projects as may be needed.
• Perform Testing/Evaluation
• Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.
• Develops, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards.
• Develop Test Scripts

 

Required Skills  

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

· Designing web services-based applications using visual Studio dot Net/Angular/Bootstrap

· Designing document management systems

· Designing Active Directory based security

· Designing telecommunications systems

· Designing workflow systems

· Designing payroll management systems

· Designing 3 tiered applications

· Analyze results, identify functional and performance issues and write clear and detailed bug reports

· Ability to interact with business stakeholders, system integrators and external support providers for collecting/analyzing requirements.

· Ability to work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
