Accounts Payable Clerk

Saint Louis, MO

Kforce's client in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support a busy accounting team during a major accounts payable backlog recovery initiative following a recent software implementation. This individual will play a key role in ensuring invoices are processed accurately, reconciliations are completed timely, and aging reports are maintained to support payment processing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can quickly learn new systems and processes. Training will be provided on internal software and procedures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process invoices within the accounts payable system
  • Perform accounts payable reconciliations to ensure all invoices have been received and recorded
  • Research missing invoices and coordinate with vendors and internal accounting staff
  • Run weekly aging reports and distribute them to site personnel for payment review
  • Assist with payment selection support processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support general administrative functions including mail distribution and other clerical duties as needed
  • Provide additional accounting and office support as assigned
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Previous Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience working within ERP, accounting, or business software systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • Copy and paste functions
  • Working with multiple tabs
  • Data lookups using basic search functions
  • General spreadsheet navigation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with an ERP
  • Prior experience in an Accounting Clerk or AP-focused role
  • Additional accounting support experience
