Job Description:

The Licensed Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures to ensure their safety and stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis: Create structural designs for various projects, including commercial and residential buildings.

Project Management: Oversee and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Compliance: Ensure all designs and constructions comply with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop and implement effective structural solutions.

Inspection and Testing: Conduct site visits to inspect construction work, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and provide solutions for any issues that arise.

Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and specifications for all structural projects.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve structural issues in existing buildings and during the construction process.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Structural Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of successful projects.

Skills:

- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000).

- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
