The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical aptitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines with accuracy. This role offers the opportunity to develop a foundational understanding of accounting principles and acquire essential QuickBooks skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; prior QuickBooks experience is preferred. Responsibilities include basic bookkeeping, daily accounting tasks, and providing crucial support to the Director of Accounting in preparing audit documentation and assisting with the month-end financial close.Job Duties / Major Areas of ResponsibilityLocate and organize support for the Annual AuditPrepare journal entries in the general ledgerSet up and confirm wiresAssist with Account ReconciliationsBook and record lease transactionsReporting (as assigned)Projects and other accounting tasks (as assigned)As you develop your skills, you will be cross-trained and tasked with:Daily cash account reconciliationsPrepare and distribute the daily cash report.Accounts PayableAccounts ReceivableMaintain monthly balance sheet reconciliationsSecurely maintain financial records and documentsAssist with the monthly closeRequirementsProficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, and WordResults-driven with exceptional detail and organizational skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsProject execution skillsMust have the ability to prioritize and meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlinesAttention to detail and accuracy1+ years of data entry experience (preferred)Familiarity with Salesforce.com and QuickBooks (preferred)Ability to interact easily with all levels of management, cross-functional teams, and clientsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompensation$18.00 - $20.00 Per HourFull-Time (Monday – Friday), onsite in Long Beach, CABenefitsMedical, dental, and vision packages following 30 days of employmentPaid Time Off (PTO), available for use after 30 days of employment401K plan options following 90 days of employmentCasual dress codeQualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
