Accounting Specialist
Leading company in the logistics industry is seeking an accounting specialist to join their growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting functions and with exposure to the logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8AM to 5PM
Looking for someone who has worked on the SS Lines service contracts, customer quotes and customer billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Work with sales team, customer success team, and external customers
- Prepare and review customer invoices
- Update CRM system
- Process credit card payments
- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts
- Assist with processing commissions
- Assist in providing audit support for revenue transactions
- Research and resolve billing issues
- Process customer documents to facilitate payments (w-9, purchase orders, etc.)
- Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
- Support various special projects as required
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and other computer programs
- Familiarity with QuickBooks OR NetSuite
- Detail-orientation, organizational skills and a strong work ethic
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral communication
- Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
