Help Desk Technician

Salary: $26,000 - 32,000 per year Requirements:

• We provide first-line technical assistance by answering Help Desk requests and resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues through phone, email, remote access, and in-person support.
• We investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve computer, network, and system problems while keeping associates informed throughout the process.
• We route and escalate support tickets to the right teams, including developers and other specialized IT resources, and follow through to resolution.
• We diagnose and fix connectivity problems, printer issues, and other technical faults.
• We install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to ensure everything works correctly for end users.
• We coordinate repairs or replacements for equipment covered by third-party maintenance and warranty agreements.
• We support the setup and upkeep of computers, peripherals, printers, scanners, cabling, and related IT assets at onsite and remote locations.
• We travel to branch locations as needed to deliver support, install systems, and troubleshoot issues.
• We create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials, and we train associates on systems, policies, and procedures when needed.
• We follow up with associates to confirm issues are fully resolved and that support meets expectations.
• We gather user feedback and recommend system improvements, upgrades, and process refinements to the IT department.
• We help test, implement, and validate new applications, software updates, and system enhancements.
• We create, update, and manage user, computer, and group accounts in Active Directory.
• We administer Office 365 mail flow rules and related email settings.
• We support Microsoft 365 services, including account administration, licensing, and security configuration.
• We provide technical support for a range of company applications and business systems.
• We look for opportunities to improve Help Desk workflows, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• We document incidents, service requests, solutions, and knowledge base articles in the ticketing system to support reporting, analysis, and training.
• We ensure endpoint devices are audited, monitored, and scanned using approved security, compliance, and management tools.
• We balance multiple priorities, meet project timelines, and handle daily support demands at the same time.
• We work with senior technical staff and external vendors to resolve complex problems and implement solutions.
• We escalate and report critical system issues, security concerns, and technology risks to IT leadership.
