Staff AccountantHot JobBloomington, IL - Bloomington, IL 61704OverviewSalary Range $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary Level Experienced Position Type Full TimeDescriptionJob Summary:This position has the responsibility for recording, tracking, and reporting the majority of inventory and financial information for Watershed Foods. This position works with our Plant Controller to ensure that all information needed to complete the monthly financial reports is received on time. Any other cost reduction projects as well as general accounting functions fall under this position.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:Perform and manage all monthly account reconciliationsPrepare monthly, quarterly and year-end close entries, schedules and financial reportsDraft monthly financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet and statement of cash flows)Prepare quarterly reports for pricing and Board of Directors' MeetingsWeekly cash/liquidity reportingMonthly bank reconciliations and loan amortization schedulesPrepare monthly accrualsMaintain applicable policies and proceduresMaintain project lists and provide budget to actual reportsMaintain routine inventory counts and dispositionsPrepare inventory tracking spreadsheetsSet up new items and bills of materials in the ERP systemServe as assist admin for the ERP system and provide support for other usersAssist Accounting ManagerServe as back-up for Accounts Receivable and Accounts PayableSkills & Qualifications:Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with general ledger functionsExperience with Aptean (ERP system) or similar software solutionStrong attention to detail and good analytical skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelySelf-motivated and able balance multiple tasks/prioritiesExperience in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word, Outlook)Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrityDegree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree1-3 years of accounting experienceAdditional certification (CPA and/or CMA) preferred, but not required
