This role serves as the technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls but is primarily focused on project execution, design reviews, schedule management, testing, documentation, and customer coordination.A Day in the Life:Coordinate electrical activities from project kickoff through commissioningReview electrical designs, schematics, panel layouts, and documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirementsManage electrical project schedules, and deliverables while working with internal teams and customersTrack electrical equipment, materials, and vendor deliverables to support manufacturing and project schedulesCoordinate engineering design changes and ensure revisions are properly documented and communicated to manufacturing and customersServe as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding electrical system design, project progress, and technical issuesWork closely with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, technicians, and production personnel to resolve technical questions during fabrication and assemblyCoordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ensuring systems meet contractual and functional requirements before shipmentsAssist in reviewing project specifications, P&IDs, electrical standards, and customer requirements to ensure compliance with applicable codes and AVANTech quality standardsIdentify project risks, resolve technical issues, and help maintain project schedules through proactive communication and coordinationTravel domestically and internationally as required to support customer meetings, testing, and commissioning activitiesPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementWhat Will Set You Up for Success:Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplineThree (3) or more years of experience in industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, or project engineering. Recent graduates with strong internship or co-op experience will also be consideredExperience reading and reviewing electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control panel drawingsFamiliarity with industrial PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) is beneficial but programming experience is not requiredExperience coordinating projects, managing priorities, and working with cross-functional teamsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, engineers, technicians, and project stakeholdersAbility to review technical documentation and identify design improvements or potential issuesWorking knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codesExperience with AutoCAD electrical or similar electrical drafting software is preferredStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to qualityAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel domestically and internationally to support customer meetings, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activitiesHigh awareness of safe working practices and proceduresAll candidates must be able to pass a drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigationUS Citizenship is requiredJob Type & Compensation:Full-time, salaried, exempt.
