Transform Lives Through Communication in Arlington – Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your skills not only enhance communication but also rekindle hope and self-assurance. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic community of Arlington, Texas, your mission transcends treating speech and swallowing disorders; it's about igniting potential, fostering self-expression, and nurturing meaningful connections among individuals from infancy to late adulthood.
This position provides an exceptional chance to work with a diverse group of clients in a setting that integrates outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language milestones, rehabilitation for adults with neurogenic disorders, or supporting seniors in cognitive recovery, there is ample opportunity for both professional growth and personal satisfaction.
Conduct thorough assessments of speech and language abilities across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, employing both standardized tests and observational evaluations.
Create individualized care plans that prioritize both immediate objectives and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused on diverse areas such as communication, language comprehension, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing issues.
Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure integrated care approaches.
Provide guidance and education to patients and their families, equipping them with the knowledge to support progress beyond the therapy sessions.
Assist in conducting inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the healing process.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that complies with local, state, and national standards.
Commit to ongoing professional development and peer engagement to stay abreast of innovations within the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.
Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for individuals of all ages, possessing a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders relating to speech, language, and swallowing.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and a collaborative care team.
Ability to modify therapy approaches to suit the varied cultural and linguistic needs of clients.
Strong decision-making skills and clinical reasoning capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation requirements.
Attractive salary depending on experience.
Flexible work hours to promote a healthy work-life balance.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitative care, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
Financial support for continuing education and opportunities for professional advancement.
A collaborative work environment that focuses on quality care and continual learning.
In this position, you won't merely provide therapy; you will become an integral part of a community dedicated to amplifying voices, fostering connections, and initiating healing journeys through the foundational elements of communication: understanding and empathy.
You will join compassionate colleagues who view each other as family, and in a space where teamwork and collaboration are prioritized over competition. Every client presents a unique story; we depend on your expertise to help narrate it meaningfully.
