As a Sales Representative 1, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below:

Essential Functions:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication methods.
• Provide technical assistance to customers for all Daniel Defense products.
• Process various types of sales orders as needed.
• Assist with administrative office tasks such as filing documents, preparing for events, and organizing work areas.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers and internal teams through phone, email, and contact forms.
• Receive inbound sales inquiries from commercial, military, and law enforcement customers, gather information and provide a handoff to the appropriate department.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
• Update and maintain account records within a Customer Resource Management (CRM) system.
• Maintain high standards of integrity, safety, and professionalism, and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
• Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
• Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
• Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 1-2 years of related sales experience, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills with excellent recordkeeping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines independently.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook; experience with CRM or ERP tools preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and work within our Company Values.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day – extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
