Speech Therapy Assistant in San Francisco, CA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
• Valid SLPA licensure required for California (or eligible to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric environment is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to implement treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering speech and language services to students under the guidance of a licensed SLP
• Work with individual students and small groups to implement therapy activities
• Document student progress, maintain records, and report outcomes as required
• Liaise with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and needs
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide assistance with developing therapy materials and resources
