RN - PCU

Registered Nurse, PCU

Shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM. Charting: EPIC experience is required. Weekend requirement: Must work every other weekend. Holiday requirement: Availability for every other holiday, if needed. First-time travelers are accepted. Floating within skillset may be required. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The patient ratio is 1:4-5. Typical patient diagnoses include long-term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery, and any surgical procedures that need step-down level of care. Regional proximity considerations: Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. In case of illness, the facility may cancel shifts without incurring charges for the canceled hours. Interdisciplinary team support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.

Experience: 1 year required License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Telemetry and step-down level care experience - Ability to manage cardiac drips and administer blood products - Ability to perform central line and peripheral line care - Knowledge of isolation precautions and airway management
