Billing Assistant

Responsibilities Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation Prepare and submit invoices to government clients in compliance with contract terms and government regulations Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment Maintain accurate records of all billing and collections activities Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes Generate and analyze AR aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action Assist with month‑end closing activities related to AR and billing Ensure compliance with company policies and government contracting requirements Provide excellent customer service to government clients and address any billing inquiries Required Skills At least one year of experience in billing, accounting, or finance Costpoint or experience Knowledge of government billing regulations, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements, and related compliance standards Proficient in using standard Microsoft 365, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro Nice to Have Professional certifications such as Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) are preferred Government contracting experience Compensation The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
