Shipping and Receiving Data Entry Specialist (Overnight Shift)

This role focuses on accurately recording inbound and outbound shipment information in an ERP system, verifying material counts, and inspecting materials to ensure they meet specifications. You will support efficient warehouse operations by combining data entry accuracy with basic measurement and inspection tasks during an overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Enter inbound shipment data into the ERP system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enter outbound shipment data into the ERP system, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
• Count inbound materials upon arrival to verify quantities against shipping documents.
• Inspect inbound materials to confirm they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Use a tape measure to verify dimensions and measurements of materials as needed.
• Reference blueprints, when applicable, to confirm material specifications and measurements.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in counts, measurements, or shipment records.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while working in the warehouse environment.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying and communicating opportunities to streamline data entry and material verification processes.

Essential Skills

• Experience with data entry, including accurate input of information into an ERP system.
• Ability to use a tape measure to verify material dimensions and measurements.
• Basic understanding of shipment documentation and material verification processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and recording inbound and outbound materials.
• Ability to inspect materials to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.
• Willingness and ability to work an overnight shift from Monday to Saturday, approximately 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
• Reliability in working a 6-day schedule with 10-hour shifts (approximately 60 hours per week).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Blueprint reading experience is a plus and considered a nice-to-have skill.
• Willingness to learn and receive training in blueprint reading if prior experience is limited.
• Comfort working with ERP systems and learning new software tools as needed.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and documentation simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a warehouse or shipping and receiving environment.

Work Environment

You will work an overnight shift from Monday to Saturday, typically from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., for approximately 60 hours per week. The position involves working with an ERP system for data entry, handling physical materials, using a tape measure for verification, and referencing blueprints when required. The facility environment is structured and orderly, supporting accurate documentation, material inspection, and safe movement of goods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Weldon Spring, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
