About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: IV start skills and labor & delivery experience EPIC experience Description: Schedule may float to units with similar acuity. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of postpartum experience. BLS and IV certifications are mandatory. Candidates must possess IV start skills and labor & delivery experience. Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred. Previous travel nursing experience is a plus. The unit provides family-centered care to women and infants. Daily patient ratios consist of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients). Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Patient diagnoses primarily involve postpartum patients with various delivery types and healthy newborns. Telemetry interpretation is required, and RN will need to pass an EKG exam prior to start. Candidates must comply with fingerprinting requirements as part of the hiring process. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or director. Former employees must be away from the facility for at least 6 months before eligibility for travel assignment. Education must be from an accredited program.
