Global Trade Compliance Manager (Imports & Duty Programs) Location: Beachwood, OH | Pay: $38.50 per hour | Requisition ID: 26-07241 Job Summary The Global Trade Compliance Manager (Imports & Duty Programs) serves as the subject matter expert for import compliance and global trade management across multiple business units within the Electrical Sector Americas organization. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing international trade compliance policies, procedures, and centralized processes to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations. The position also leads initiatives related to import valuation, duty drawback programs, free trade agreements, and trade process optimization while partnering with cross‑functional teams to drive compliance, efficiency, and cost savings. Job Responsibilities Serve as the Global Trade Management (GTM) subject matter expert and primary resource for import compliance matters across the Electrical Sector Americas organization. Develop, implement, and maintain international trade compliance policies, procedures, and governance processes to ensure adherence to applicable U.S. and international trade regulations. Lead value reconciliation activities, including evaluating adjustments related to research and development costs, royalties, assists, spot buys, third‑party arrangements, and cost submissions. Support and oversee duty drawback programs by coordinating with internal stakeholders and approved service providers to ensure timely and accurate claims processing. Facilitate training for business units on duty drawback requirements, documentation standards, and record‑keeping responsibilities. Partner with supply chain, finance, and business leaders to identify duty recovery opportunities and ensure compliance with reporting and documentation requirements. Establish and deploy standardized trade compliance processes and centralized reporting methods across business units. Monitor and evaluate compliance performance through audits, assessments, and risk evaluations. Analyze import activities and trade data to identify process improvements, cost‑saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Provide guidance regarding customs valuation methodologies, free trade agreements, rules of origin, and import compliance requirements. Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and government agencies to support trade compliance initiatives. Communicate trade compliance requirements and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance trade compliance processes and strengthen organizational capabilities. Job Requirements 5‑9 years of experience in global trade management, import compliance, trade regulations, or related areas. 5‑7 years of direct import and/or export compliance experience within a major corporation, service provider, or law firm. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing trade compliance processes and driving process improvements across multiple business units. Subject matter expertise in import regulations, customs valuation, duty drawback programs, and free trade agreements. Strong knowledge of audit procedures, risk assessment methodologies, and trade compliance governance. Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers. Experience utilizing ERP systems and data analytics to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. High attention to detail and ability to manage time‑sensitive activities with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Microsoft Excel functions and audit formulas. Fluency in English. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
