Every great live show has someone behind the scenes making sure nothing slips. At Backyard Breaks, that person is the Co-Pilot .

We’re looking for energetic, sports-minded team players to work alongside our on-air Breakers during live sports card shows. You’ll help manage the chat, protect and organize cards, keep the room stocked, support the flow of the break, and bring the kind of energy that makes the show better. This is part live entertainment, part card operations, and part right-hand support to the Breaker running the room.

If you can keep up, stay organized, and bring good energy while ten things are happening at once, you’ll probably feel right at home here.

What You’ll Do

• Work side-by-side with Breakers during live sports card shows
• Keep up with live chat and help viewers stay engaged
• Sleeve, top-load, protect, and organize cards as they are pulled
• Help track and organize cards throughout each break
• Keep the room stocked with supplies so the show never loses momentum
• Support the Breaker with products, cards, information, and whatever the show needs next
• Help maintain an energetic, positive, and professional live environment
• Answer viewer questions and provide a great customer experience
• Stay current on sports, players, card products, and hobby trends
• Learn Backyard’s show processes and follow direction from the Breaker and leadership team
• Jump in where needed to keep the room organized and the show moving

You’ll Be Great Here If You

• Genuinely follow sports and enjoy talking about them
• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced live environment
• Can multitask without losing track of the details
• Have strong communication skills and good instincts with people
• Stay organized even when the room gets busy
• Bring positive energy without needing to be the center of attention
• Are reliable, punctual, and ready to work
• Take direction well and respond positively to coaching
• Care about doing things correctly, especially when handling customer cards
• Are flexible with evenings, weekends, and changing livestream schedules

Even Better If You…

• Have experience with sports cards, collectibles, or live breaking
• Have worked on Whatnot, Twitch, YouTube Live, or similar platforms
• Have experience in livestreaming, content creation, entertainment, sales, or customer service
• Already follow hobby trends and card-market conversations
• Have a social media presence or interest in building one
• Understand how to keep a live audience engaged

Sports Card Knowledge Is a Big Plus. Already know the hobby? Even better.

We love candidates who understand sports card products, players, sets, rookies, parallels, inserts, case hits, grading, and proper card handling.

If you know sports but are still learning cards, that doesn’t automatically count you out. We’re looking for people who are curious, coachable, and excited to learn.
