Assistant Nurse Manager PACU

Assistant Nurse Manager PACU – Parkview Tower 4‑10 hour shifts, 10 A‑8 30 P. Work/life balance. 44‑bed unit, 60‑70 cases per day. PACU or critical care experience preferred. Experience with minimally invasive surgery, urology, colorectal, gynecology, bariatric, gender‑reaffirming, interventional radiology. Role Purpose Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, and statistical accumulation. Responsibilities Manages individuals: hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures productivity and actions of the group support departmental operational goals. Participates in development of staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and ensures adherence to goals. Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions; documents per policy. Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis and medical treatment. Supports review of staff hours vs scheduled hours and takes appropriate action. Performs and approves daily payroll updates; reconciles time cards, bonus tracking and coding. Prepares and executes staff communications, huddle agendas and leads meetings. Determines staffing needs, makes nursing assignments, assigns overtime, and recommends annual increases. Interviews staff for open positions; evaluates and conducts performance reviews; drafts and issues corrective actions or coaching; follows up regarding disciplinary actions. Conducts performance evaluations and recommends improvements where needed. Maintains safety‑sensitive nature of the position, working in a constant state of alertness. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2‑5 years. Supervisor Experience: None required. Licenses & Certifications: RN. Preferred Requirements Experience: 5‑10 years. Supervisor Experience: None required.
