SAP FICO RTR Consultant

Role: SAP FICO RTR
Location : Onsite Riverwoods, IL (Need to Work from Client Office 3 Days a Week)

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP FI/CO RTR Lead with 10+ years of deep expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and end to end Record-to-Report processes.

The ideal candidate will lead solution design, delivery execution, stakeholder management, and cross-functional integration for global SAP programs.

This role requires strong functional mastery, hands-on configuration capabilities, and a proven track record of leading large delivery teams across multi region implementations, migrations, and S/4HANA transformations.

Responsibilities

• • • Lead design and implementation of SAP FI/CO and RTR solutions across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Product Costing, PCA, and COPA.
    • Drive blueprint workshops, fit-gap analysis, and end to end solution mapping
    • Create detailed functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scenarios, and process flow diagrams
    • Ensure alignment with global financial processes, statutory requirements, and compliance standards
    • Take ownership of delivery across all phases: design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare
    • Manage and guide cross-functional teams including FI, CO, Integration, ABAP, and Data teams
    • Lead RTR process standardization across global entities and business units
    • Drive governance, issue management, risk mitigation, and progress reporting to leadership
    • Ensure high-quality delivery outcomes aligned with project scope, timeline, and budget
    • Design and optimize closing cycles, reconciliations, reporting frameworks, and financial controls.
    • Define KPIs and ensure process adherence through automation and SAP best practices.
    • Perform hands-on SAP configuration
    • Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management.
    • Design and execute cutover strategies, data migration validation, and readiness plans.
    • Lead go-live activities and provide stabilization support.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to CFO organization, Finance Controllers, and Business Process Owners.
    • Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
    • Facilitate cross functional collaboration across IT, business, and global delivery teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• • • 15+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO and RTR.
    • Minimum 3 4 full-cycle SAP implementations as FI/CO Lead.
    • Strong knowledge of global finance processes, IFRS/GAAP, tax, compliance, and statutory reporting.
    • Expertise with S/4HANA Finance.
    • Proven experience leading large delivery teams in onsite/offshore model.
    • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working with multi-country rollouts and complex global landscapes.
