Director of Admissions Systems and Analytics

Role Description

The Director of Admissions Systems and Analytics is product owner and function lead responsible for leading all activities in the admission office related to:

• Configuration and management of the admissions technology platform (Technolutions Slate)
• Process workflows and automations
• Data stewardship and data quality
• Data analytics products (Databricks and Power BI)

This role supports data-driven recruiting and admissions strategies to help Darden’s Office of Admission achieve enrollment and institutional goals. The Director specifically serves as the “Slate Captain” for Darden’s Technolutions Slate instance and is responsible for managing the platform’s vision and roadmap, user experience, and stakeholder management.

This position may be fully remote or in-person (either Charlottesville or Rosslyn).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Master’s degree and at least seven years of experience in college admissions/enrollment preferred.

Requirements

• Solid analytics skills to include proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle best practices as well as team-based development using Agile method and collaboration tools (Jira preferred).
• Demonstrated understanding of analytics infrastructure (data warehousing) and analytics modeling techniques (machine learning).
• Demonstrated proficiency with integrating AI into business processes and workflows.
• Demonstrated mastery and expertise in managing admissions-related software systems, including Technolutions Slate, Peoplesoft, or other CRM and analytics-related software, including PowerBI, Tableau.
• Strong collaborative and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and promote professional development of staff.
• Excellent awareness and understanding of national and global trends in college admissions/enrollment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with confidential information.
• Professionalism, tact, judgement, flexibility and commitment to teamwork.
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
