Associate Director, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in Washington, DC—Hilltop in the historic Georgetown neighborhood and Capitol, just minutes from the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court. The Associate Director supports all activities related to the smooth and effective recruitment and enrollment of incoming students for the School’s Master’s programs, especially the Master of Arts in International Business & Policy (MA‑IBP). Working closely with the Associate Dean, the Associate Director manages admissions operations, including application system oversight, interview scheduling, processing, credential evaluation, and decision handling for all Master’s programs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining back‑end technology systems (Banner, Salesforce, OGS) and ensuring system updates and data integration are current. Handle all aspects of internal recruiting outreach for MA‑IBP, including answering emails, telephone calls, and walk‑in inquiries. Implement all procedures for MA‑IBP recruiting outreach and follow up with prospects. Ensure that all MA‑IBP marketing material—both printed and online—is up to date and factually represents program goals. Engage, cultivate, and manage the MA‑IBP recruiting pipeline; plan and execute recruiting events such as on‑ and off‑campus information sessions, online sessions, and occasional travel to represent McDonough at events and fairs. Act as a liaison to other departmental units such as Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Services. Assist the Associate Dean in preparing data collection for recruitment forecasting and integrate admissions data with other systems (Salesforce, Banner, OGS). Work Interactions The Associate Director reports to the Senior Director of Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions and does not have direct reports. As the first point of contact for MA‑IBP prospective students, the Associate Director influences application and enrollment decisions. The role requires professional knowledge of all Master’s program offerings, strong customer‑service orientation, problem‑solving skills, and a poised, professional demeanor. Key interactions include collaborating with Georgetown University offices and partner schools, engaging alumni for recruiting purposes, and working with outside vendors for contract arrangements. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 3–5 years of professional experience; higher education/admissions experience highly desirable. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Comfortable in a large institution IT environment with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal abilities and a poised, professional demeanor. Ability to exercise sound judgment with confidential data. Strong multitasking, prioritization, and detail orientation. Experience building relationships with prospective students and managing events and activities. Confidence in initiative, questioning, and recommending process improvements for customer satisfaction. Comfort working directly with executives at all levels and genuine interest in international cultures. Strategic thinking in program and service delivery. Resourcefulness and problem‑solving skills for technological systems. Preferred Requirements and Qualifications Knowledge of admissions information systems/databases preferred. Prior use of Marketo or similar sophisticated marketing automation tools strongly preferred.
