JOB DESCRIPTION: RECEIVING WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

1. OVERVIEW

A computer services company in Northwest Houston is looking for a capable Warehouse Associate to support our company’s warehouse operations. Daily tasks would involve various warehouse activities to include, but not limited to receiving, picking, stocking, and shipping. This job requires one to be on a computer frequently with a very high level of attention to detail. Previous experience at HP, Flextronics, Foxconn is a plus. The following includes most daily duties depending on the department a Warehouse Associate I will be assigned to.

This is a contract position without benefits.

2. DUTIES

· Receives, unloads, and places incoming inventory items appropriately

· Communicates discrepancies of units received or shipped

· Performs data entry into database to maintain records and assets

· Organizes warehouse space as instructed

· Picks items from stock to staging areas using pick tickets

· Scans and packages products securely for shipment

· Learns and uses new processes and procedures

· Maintains general cleanliness of warehouse and equipment

· Abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

3. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Proven warehouse experience is a plus

· Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time and safely climb ladders

· Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance

· Possess a very high level of attention to detail and is a team player

· Must be able to speak, read, and write English

· Capable of following written procedures or verbal instructions in English

· Typing by 10 key touch required

· Must be comfortable working with internet browsers, tabs, and PDF documents

· Must be able to take and successfully pass a criminal background check
