Attendance Accounting Clerk

This position requires knowledge of attendance accounting methods and techniques, basic record keeping methods and techniques; English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation; basic principles. Must possess the skill to effectively communicate orally and in written form; understand and follow oral and written instructions; learn and apply District rules, regulations, and policies; effectively maintain record keeping systems and files in a timely manner; prepare attendance reports and correspondence; type accurately at a rate required for successful job performance; operate standard office equipment including computer terminal, calculator, copy machines and typewriter; perform accurate mathematical calculations. One year of typing and general clerical and typing/word processing experience. Some health-related experience preferred. Bilingual preferred. A criminal history check will be required of successful candidate prior to employment.

Duties of position: Under general supervision to compile, post, and maintain attendance records and related reports and to contact students, parents, counselors, and teachers regarding attendance related matters. Employees in this classification may oversee and supervise students assisting in attendance accounting and exercises responsibility for the accurate compiling and preparation of attendance accounting information, data and reports.

Starting salary: $3,349.57 (monthly) Number of months: 10 (to begin as soon as possible) Number of hours: 8 (daily working hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
