Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Bring your expertise and passion for helping young students thrive as a part-time Physical Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Melrose Park, IL! You’ll have the opportunity to support elementary-age students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, working closely with educators and families to help children reach their maximum potential.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials valid in Illinois
- Experience with pediatric populations, specifically in school or healthcare settings
- Comfort and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt and provide creative, student-centered interventions
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment programs for elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement therapy within the school setting
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes as required
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
- Adjust interventions as necessary based on ongoing evaluation of student needs
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all therapy sessions
