Occupational Therapist School Setting in Glendale Heights, IL

A staffing opportunity is available for two Occupational Therapists (OT) to provide essential services within school settings. These full-time contract roles focus on supporting students in elementary and early childhood classrooms.


Position Details:

• First Assignment: Cover two non-concurrent leave positions at two different elementary schools. The first placement is in a school district near Bloomingdale until May, and upon completion, the second placement begins in a nearby district at Glen Ellyn. Full-time hours of 35+ per week are required for each site.
• Second Assignment: Support an early childhood classroom in Glendale Heights. This full-time role also involves 35+ hours weekly. An offer has been extended for this position, pending acceptance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with appropriate certification for school-based services.
• Experience working with school-aged children, including elementary and early childhood populations.
• Skilled in delivering individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educational staff, and adapting interventions within classroom environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of school policies and ability to manage therapy caseloads effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities under individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to support student development.
• Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with school district and state regulations.

Location: Glendale Heights, Illinois, with assignments in nearby districts.
