Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to process ADP payroll and perform accounting and reporting tasks related to payroll. This position must work with the Payroll Manager to complete payroll cycles in a timely and accurate manner, demonstrating high integrity while handling confidential employee data. Duties also include maintenance of time tracking system, PTO tracking, and other time and wage reporting. Responsibilities may evolve due to company growth and industry complexity. This role requires interaction with senior management, employees, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly multi‑state payroll disbursement, including tips, garnishments, benefits, and taxes for employees in the U.S. and Canada, consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Administer the Concur Expense reporting system to ensure compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement. Prepare and maintain relevant management operational reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, year‑end). Perform month‑end accounting entries and payroll‑related accrual calculations. Report with temporary employee agencies and reconcile weekly invoicing for timely recording and settlement. Assist with quarterly and annual payroll reporting requirements. Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and payroll tax procedures to recommend and implement best‑practice changes. Perform other tasks as required. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years of experience managing a multi‑state payroll in a manufacturing company. Extensive knowledge of ADP and HRIS. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
