As a School Speech Language Pathologist serving students near East Orange, NJ, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster communication skills and promote academic and social success.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New Jersey
• Current New Jersey Department of Education certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
• Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in early childhood and elementary settings
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to evidence-based, student-centered interventions

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
• Deliver direct therapy to students in individual and group settings within the school environment
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student success
• Educate and consult with staff and caregivers on speech/language strategies and accommodations
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices
