We’re hiring an HR Generalist to support a busy manufacturing operation in Yakima, with a strong focus on employee relations, leave administration, workplace investigations, attendance, policy guidance, and day-to-day employee support.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable being visible on the floor, building trust with employees and leaders, working through sensitive situations, and helping keep the workplace fair, consistent, and moving in the right direction.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and supervisors across the facility
• Assist with employee relations questions, concerns, complaints, and workplace issues
• Support and participate in employee investigations, including gathering information, documenting findings, and helping determine appropriate next steps
• Partner with managers on performance concerns, attendance issues, corrective action, and policy interpretation
• Administer and track employee leaves, including FMLA, state leave programs, disability, and other applicable leave requests
• Communicate with employees regarding leave eligibility, documentation, return-to-work requirements, and available resources
• Help ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices
• Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential employee documentation
• Support accommodation discussions and the interactive process when appropriate
• Assist with benefits questions, employee records, HR systems, and general employee support
• Help identify employee trends, recurring concerns, and opportunities to improve retention and the overall employee experience
• Partner closely with plant leadership to address workforce issues before they become bigger problems
• Support recruiting and onboarding as needed, while keeping the primary focus on the existing workforce

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, Employee Relations Specialist, or similar HR professional
• Strong hands-on experience with employee relations and workplace investigations
• Experience administering or supporting FMLA, state leave, disability, and other employee leave programs
• Comfortable navigating sensitive employee situations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, attendance practices, and corrective-action processes
• Experience supporting hourly employees in manufacturing, food production, agriculture, distribution, warehouse, or another high-volume environment is strongly preferred
• Strong documentation, communication, and follow-through
• Ability to build trust with employees while still supporting company policies and business needs
• Comfortable working directly with frontline supervisors and plant leadership
• HRIS experience is helpful
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus, but not required
