About us...
At Escuela, we offer a unique dining experience rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients, exceptional service, and a deep connection to place. We use regenerative and organic practices on our five-acre farm to source our ingredients for our food and beverage menus a true farm to table experience. Set in a beautifully restored 100+ year old schoolhouse in the heart of Oak Hill, our restaurant honors the spirit of learning and community that once filled these walls.
Today, that legacy continues through true Texas hospitality. We invite our guests to have a table right at our farm to tell them stories about our land, our building, and the people behind each plate. Every team member helps carry this story forward, creating thoughtful, memorable experiences for our guests and community.
We are seeking a Food Runner to join the team at our restaurant! As a Food Runner, you are the link between the kitchen and the wait staff. You will deliver food, clear plates, fulfill guest needs and generally act as the liaison between the front of house and back of the house. If you’re friendly, hard-working, and interested in getting your foot in the door in the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve customers their food and beverages in an efficient manner.
- Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff.
- Refill drinks.
- Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
- Remove tablecloths and reset tables.
- Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications
- Experience as a food runner, or similar position is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.
