Desktop Support Technician

IT Desktop Tech, IIThis position requires an IT Desktop Technician to perform configuration, installation, and repairs of PC hardware and peripherals. The role involves direct contact with end-users to manage data migration and monitoring trouble tickets to coordinate with vendors for equipment repair. The technician will also be responsible for adhering to and enforcing facility security measures, company safety standards, and software licensing procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform configuration, installation, and repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.Contact end-users to define and perform data migration requirements.Monitor for trouble tickets and coordinate with appropriate vendors for equipment repair.Adhere to and enforce facility security measures, company safety standards, and software licensing procedures.Assist in setting up PCs and related peripherals for special requests.Lend guidance to desktop support teams on hardware-related issues.Provide assistance to others as directed.Required QualificationsExperience: 3 years of experience in an IT or PC-related field which includes experience in hardware configuration.Technical SkillsDesktop SupportTroubleshootingNetwork awarenessMicrosoft WordPreferred QualificationsA+ certification or equivalent experience.Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, onsite position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
