CT Technologist

Job Title

Pay Rate: $64 per hour - $75 per hour

Summary

Shift Timings: Part Time

1 worker Sunday 12am-4pm (double shift); 1 worker Saturday 8am-12pm (double shift)

Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study is conducted.
• Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician's order following the prescribed protocol.
• Observe all department documentation policies by completing logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
• Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
• Receive radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verify activity level of the dose prior to administration.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of CT experience.
• Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License (L.R.T).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified).
• BLS certification.

Preferred Skills

• Perform CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient's needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
