Accounting Intern

Summary Of Position The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team with day-to-day accounting activities, reporting, reconciliations, and special projects while gaining hands-on experience in a growing industrial services organization. The intern will work closely with accounting team members to develop an understanding of general ledger accounting, financial processes, month-end close activities, and internal controls while building practical business experience. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger review. Support accounts payable and other transactional accounting activities. Assist with cash entries, banking activities, and Positive Pay processes. Participate in month-end close activities and financial reporting tasks. Support fixed asset tracking, reconciliations, and related accounting projects. Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) reviews, job audits, and vendor spend analysis. Gather, organize, and analyze accounting data using Vista, Spreadsheet Server, and Excel. Assist with inventory counts, process documentation, and continuous improvement projects. Participate in department meetings, cross-functional learning opportunities, and operational site visits. Complete special projects and present internship accomplishments and key learnings at the conclusion of the program. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or a related business field. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience preferred. Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
