Job Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Assistant for a major health system in South Lyon, MI! This position offers long-term career growth and the opportunity to support patient care operations.

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Medical Assistant Highlights

Full-time schedule
Monday: 8a-5p; Tues-Fri: 8a-4p
On-site role supporting ambulatory medical services

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with the examination and treatment of patients.
Perform select clinical duties, including taking vital signs, interviewing patients, and documenting information accurately.
Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient care.
Handle clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling, maintaining records, and filing.
Manage inventory by ordering and stocking medical supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Follow Standard Precautions and use PPE according to infection control guidelines.
Support smooth patient flow within the clinic and assist nursing staff as needed.
Utilize EMR systems such as Epic to record patient information.

Medical Assistant Requirements

High School Diploma
1 year of applicable/recent MA experience required
BLS Provider Certification – Required
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume, and at times stressful environment
Strong background in vital signs, rooming, and patient intake
Familiarity with clinical workflows and medical terminology
