About the Opportunity

Join a growing construction company seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the day-to-day accounting function. This role offers a mix of accounts payable, administrative, and general accounting responsibilities while working closely with the accounting and project teams. Key Responsibilities

• Process, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with vendor payments and maintain accurate accounts payable records.
• Set up new vendors and maintain W-9 documentation and vendor files.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts receivable, payment posting, and general accounting support as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records within Sage 300.
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Communicate with vendors, project managers, and internal departments regarding invoices and payment status.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department and assist with special projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, or bookkeeping experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage 300 or similar ERP/accounting software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
