Associate Attorney

This position is in person. Spanish speaking a PLUS but not required. Responsibilites Take depositions of claimants, physicians, medical experts, and other parties Perform legal research and stay current with developments in workers’ compensation law Draft appeals, rebuttals, summations, and memoranda of law Litigate cases before Workers’ Compensation Judges Prepare clients for hearings, depositions, and trials Represent claimants at hearings, trials, and depositions Negotiate settlements on behalf of claimants Provide strategic legal direction on all assigned matters Work with support staff to ensure cases are progressing efficiently Assist injured workers in obtaining appropriate medical care and benefits Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Admission to the New York State Bar Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong analytical and research abilities Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines Strong negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (Lexis, Westlaw) #J-18808-Ljbffr
