Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Telemetry Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract Location: Abilene, Texas 79606 Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekly Hours: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU , telemetry , or a related acute care nursing setting Travel nursing experience required Current BLS , ACLS , and NIHSS certifications required Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment Ability to complete compliance items and pre-start requirements promptly Altera charting experience preferred, but not required Open to floating to another unit or campus as needed Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and telemetry patients Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with care plans Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner Educate and support patients and families with professionalism and compassion Maintain strong communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills throughout each shift Apply now to take the next step in your Texas nursing career and join a supportive travel healthcare team in Abilene today.
